New Host of MLS’ Get Me In There!

IMG_2091(1)

Get Me In There! And boy did I go!

If the first few months are any indication of what 2016 has to offer, then this is going to be a good year. I’m so excited to announce that I am the new host of Heineken and MLS Soccer’s Get Me In There. It’s a digital series that brings an inside look at the fanIMG_2040s that drum, dance, sing, tailgate, and do whatever it takes to create the most dynamic match day atmosphere in Major League Soccer.

This is such a dream job! If you follow me, you know I love to travel and cheer, but what you may not know is that I’m an athlete first. I’ve been in sports all my life- from figure skating (where I was selected by Richard CallIMG_1988aghan to start training for the Olympic team- until I fell on my head and decided school might be a better option) to soccer where my natural ability to run and attack a ball made me a great defender. I was a Stopper, which no longer exists, but man did I stop! And when I didn’t, I ran really fast to make up for it. #SorryCoach

So it was an incredible honor to interview Nat Borchers, who is a talented defender and has also become the face of the Portland Timbers. I mean, with a beard like that, how can you not be a fan favorite? And spending five seconds with him, you realize he is so much more than the beard. He is a very nice, humble, smart man who treaIMG_2076ts everyone with not only respect, but an unbelievable amount of attention. They say Keep Portland Weird, but Nat says Keep Portland Beard- and I’d agree with that!

On the second day of our shoot, it was Game Day. The Portland Timbers opener was a rematch of the MLS Cup final with Columbus Crew- it was an insane game! If you look at the recap, you’ll see why. It can be hard to jump into a devout supporters group, but Whitney from the Timbers Army welcomed me in with open arms, helped me with all the songs, and even gave me a nifty scarf… which was much appreciated in the cold! I even got up close and personal with Timber Joey, who slices off a piece of the victory log after every goal. The atmosphere was insane. I can’t wait to show you the finished product when the video is all up.

Thanks Portland!

My New Show on Fox Sports!

Welcome to Q-Sport!

I’m so excited to be hosting a new show called Q-Sport that will be airing on Fox Sports affiliates in Europe!

Over the past year, I’ve been a Host and Senior Producer for The QYOU, a new international linear channel that airs premium online content similar to the way MTV aired non-stop music videos back in the day. It’s been such a privilege to find and promote incredible internet artists who spend hours upon hours creating amazing content. As The QYOU has matured, we are now putting out specialty shows like Q-Sport! And, it’s even cooler that we’re teaming up with big networks like Fox Sports. Yeahhhhhhh.

For 26 episodes, I’ll be guiding you through the most extreme sports videos from the internet. If you want a sample of what you’ll see, check out this and this.

Yeah- it’s crazy.

Q-Sport will start airing in select European territories in April on Fox Sports.

My TV Show Premiere’s Tonight! How Did This Happen?!

Jun5post

Tonight is the night! Vacation Chasers– formerly known as the #SuperSecretTravelTVShow on my social media- premieres tonight on HLN at 9PM Eastern/6 PM Pacific!

I’m currently in Atlanta promoting the show on HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade, The Daily Share, and Weekend Express. For years, I’ve been interviewing television personalilambshoesties and musicians, and now I’m in the celebrity’s shoes! Although, I bet mine are more comfortable…

Joking aside, this is a really surreal moment. Vacation Chasers is something I never thought would actually happen. Most people in the world want to host their own travel show. I’m sure there’s some poll out there saying it’s right next to astronaut, movie star, and President as dream jobs for kids. But, as what happens when you get older, reality starts to sink in. Everyone in their mother- from agents to casting directors to producers- said the same thing: if you’re not a male backpacker and a green beret, you’re not hosting your own travel show. So, I accepted this truth, and resigned myself to creating my own travel videos for YouTube– as a very time-intensive and expensive passion project, I might add. I did this for years, until I met Rachel Rudwall through our management. We decided, hey, two blondes are better than one, and re-launched my YouTube channel as How2Travelers. With 18 months of hard work, dedication, early onset of carpel tunnel, and possibly a few meltdowns, we were plucked out from YouTube and are the stars of HLN’s Vacation Chasers.

So what is this show all about?

If you like House Hunters, then you’re going to LOVE Vacation Chasers! And not just because I’m in it. 😉 Rachel and I are two travel experts who compete to create the best vacations for our clients. After stalking our clients (errr “researching”), Rachel and I each put together a dream itinerary for our clients. Using our imagination and pulling a lot of favors, we come up with 5 star itineraries on a usually 2 star budget. The client can only pick one vacation to go on, and if they’re smart, they will choose mine. 🙂

So, come join the adventure and please root for #TeamAndrea when Vacation Chasers airs tonight on HLN (9pm Easter/6pm Pacific, in case you forgot from three paragraphs ago). Feel free to live tweet me @AndreaFeczko.

Stereotude

This week I put down my red stapler, brought out my furry mug, and made a home for myself at SHANDY studios in Burbank to film lots of internet stories. This week I did double duty for Hollyscoop (celebrity news) and Stereotude (music news), which airs on Yahoo!, AOLOn, Huffington Post, and many more outlets.

While it was great to be back in a green room that is actually green (see above), it was even more fun to play with the new format of Stereotude’s music news stories. Two stories in one video– which is quite unique for internet news- AND I had to somehow find ways to make stories relate that were so completely different. Yes, this challenge was accepted with a hearty salsa girl emoji. If you don’t know what that is, I highly suggest you look it up and use it in an upcoming text message. It’ll change your life.

So here are the fruits of my labor: story producing, writing, gathering, hosting, and, of course, hair, makeup, and wardrobe. Who says a girl can’t do it all? 😉

My favorite video- Ariana Grande and Kanye West. I somehow made this duo work!
