Congratulations to Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier!

So much to celebrate!
- Opening Day, it recorded the Biggest Day for an April film, making $37 Million on Friday
- #1 at the US Box Office for Three Weeks
- Highest-Grossing Debut for an April Film, with record $96.2 opening weekend
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier makes Marvel the Biggest Film Franchise Ever
- And now… CA: TWS is officially the Highest-Grossing April Film of All Time!
So proud of everyone at Marvel and Disney. I am so honored to be a part of the Marvel Universe.

This was an excellent film all the way through, from the plot, acting, producing, writing, directing, producing, and incredible martial arts. The latter was so amazing that I have actually started taking Krav Maga lessons. Stay tuned for that blog post… if I’m still in one piece.

Now we just have to find ways to make the time go by before Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier World Premiere

Cap is Back!! And Better Than Ever!!

I first heard whispers about the greatness of Captain America: The Winter Soldier when I was covering the Thor: The Dark World premiere for Marvel. At that time, only the elevator scene had been released, and, wow, was that great foreshadowing for what was to come.

This movie is absolutely incredible. It’s a 70’s spy thriller meets Marvel cinematic craziness. The utilization of handheld camera movements, mixed martial arts fight scenes, and a modern-day plot keeps this movie “grounded,” but it still has all the wit, larger-than-life characters, and over-the-top special effects that we’ve come to expect from Marvel movies. To put it simply, I’m seriously contemplating whether this is my favorite Marvel movie- yes, even above Avengers and Iron Man.

It was such a pleasure to be working the red carpet again for Marvel. The red carpet live coverage for the Captain America: The Winter Soldier world premiere was streamed on Marvel.com, Yahoo!, Zing Revolution, and on the El Capitan Theater billboard.
