• Merry Christmas from the Key of Awesome

The holidays are fast approaching and what better way to spend them than with the biggest hot messes in Hollywood? Welcome to a special Key of Awesome Christmas Parody Spectacular!

Oh what joy it is to play both Ke$ha and Taylor Swift!

This was the perfect way to end the crazy, wild ride that has been 2015. KeshaYouTubeAfter a full day of hosting at The QYOU, I jumped on a red eye to NYC, got into a taxi, and made my way to the YouTube Space right above the bustling Chelsea Market, where I was immediately thrown into hair and makeup for Ke$ha…It took all of five minutes. FingerNow, normally, rocking up to a shoot after being on a plane for six hours isn’t the best look, but apparently that’s exactly what they were going for! Yeah, a part of me was like, “Come on guys- please tell me I don’t look THAT crazy when I get off a plane!” Apparently I do. #WavyHairDontCare

After pretending to be drunk for the morning as Ke$ha, I switched into full Taylor Swift mode. And by switched, I mean I became completely innocent and naive. This meant it took at least 10 takes to figure out how to properly flip someone off. I’m not joking. To the right is the photographic proof of my innocence (I’m the one in the blonde wig). I believe this “lapse in judgement” was really a Christmas present to my parents, because after all the crazy videos I’ve put my family through, at least they’d be proud to know I haven’t mastered the art of flipping someone off… yet! Then I showed everyone what these guns were made of by hoisting up the amazing Mark Douglas for way too long- and voila!- the perfect Christmas anthem and photo thumbnail!

Happy Holidays! See you in 2016 B******!! (That was Ke$ha who said that- not me)

I woke up this morning to an awesome surprise- I am officially at 100,000 followers on Twitter! I got so excited I threw myself a little dance party! Well, it also helped that I’m here hosting a dance party aka Ultra Japan’s livestream.

Thank you all so much for helping me get to 100k. YOU are awesome! And, if you don’t follow me already – I’m @andreafeczko.

    VICE: Japan’s War on Dance

    So… this happened!

That expensive journalism degree from NYU was finally put to good use! Mom- I told you it would all be worth it!

I did a story for VICE’s Electronic Dance Music channel THUMP while I was in Tokyo. The story is about the Fuieho Law: an outdated law that is being used to ban dancing in nightclubs across Japan. Yes, Fuieho is a real thing.

This was a really new experience as I pitched, produced, and hosted the 12 minute segment. I’m really proud of how it came together and the team at VICE and THUMP is nothing short of amazing: supportive, smart, and talented. I’ve been a big fan of VICE News for some years now, binging on hard news stories like the ebola outbreak and ISIS. If you’re wondering what I do in my spare time, this is it. So, to get the opportunity to work with a company that I respect in so many ways was truly a dream come true.

Here it is- a look inside Japan’s War on Dance.

  • Stereotude

This week I put down my red stapler, brought out my furry mug, and made a home for myself at SHANDY studios in Burbank to film lots of internet stories. This week I did double duty for Hollyscoop (celebrity news) and Stereotude (music news), which airs on Yahoo!, AOLOn, Huffington Post, and many more outlets.

While it was great to be back in a green room that is actually green (see above), it was even more fun to play with the new format of Stereotude’s music news stories. Two stories in one video– which is quite unique for internet news- AND I had to somehow find ways to make stories relate that were so completely different. Yes, this challenge was accepted with a hearty salsa girl emoji. If you don’t know what that is, I highly suggest you look it up and use it in an upcoming text message. It’ll change your life.

So here are the fruits of my labor: story producing, writing, gathering, hosting, and, of course, hair, makeup, and wardrobe. Who says a girl can’t do it all? 😉

My favorite video- Ariana Grande and Kanye West. I somehow made this duo work!

    JETPACK!!

As part of my travel series How2Travelers, I had the awesome opportunity to go Jetpacking with Jetpack America in Newport Beach, CA.

The video above is the first release of a series of videos we will be doing on the new adventure sport.

    So… How was it?

    A) It was awesome

    B) It’s easy enough to do where you can start doing tricks within in the first five minutes, but challenging enough — both mentally and physically — where you want to come back and do more.

Check out all that we were able to accomplish in the video above!

** Special thanks to Jetpack America for the incredible experience. Check out their website if you feel inspired. They have locations across the United States and Mexico. **
